Digital, print versions now available for voters
Before heading to the polls Nov. 3, voters can learn about candidates and ballot issues in the Voter’s Guide 2020, published this week by the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri. Always nonpartisan, the guide includes essential voting information for Greene, Christian and Webster counties.
A matching online guide is available online at vote411.org or through the Springfield News-Leader website at news-leader.com. Voters can build a personalized ballot by simply entering their address. They’ll see the races and ballot issues for their voting district. The address is only used to generate the sample ballot and then is automatically deleted.
In both the digital and print versions, the League asked candidates questions and printed their responses exactly as received. Included are all races in the three counties, plus state representative and state senate races along with statewide contests for Missouri governor and others.
Two ballot issues—proposed amendments to the State Constitution—are explained, along with pro-con statements and summaries provided by the League of Women Voters of Missouri.
Printed Voter’s Guides are available at no cost at all Greene, Christian County and Webster County libraries and many other locations. It will also be inserted in the Sunday Springfield News-Leader on Oct. 25.
