Springfield and Greene County’s strengths and challenges will be unveiled Oct. 21 with the release of the 10th Community Focus Report. The release will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in a virtual event open to the public.
Every two years, leaders from area nonprofit organizations and government agencies compile a list of Blue Ribbons (strengths) and Red Flags (challenges) to help identify ways to use resources to tackle community issues. This year, the information also will be condensed into a summary report focused on the impact of the COVID pandemic.
Please visit springfieldcommunityfocus.org for virtual attendance information and to view a copy of the report after its release.
Key findings will be presented by report facilitator Jonathan Groves, Drury Communications Department chair, and report co-chair Morey Mechlin. A panel from the non-profit and government fields will explore how the community can work together.
Of particular interest to League members will be the Citizen Engagement section which focuses in part on voter turnout.
The Community Focus Report is published with support from Community Foundation of the Ozarks, United Way of the Ozarks, Springfield-Greene County Library District, Junior League of Springfield and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
