We hope you’ve seen them by now. Messages on Springfield buses are promoting GOTV: Get Out the Vote. These bus “wraps” will continue to roll around Springfield until the Nov. 5 General Election.
This kind of mobile advertising reaches a wide audience since the buses travel along high-traffic routes in Springfield.
The project is a collaboration between the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri, NAACP Springfield and Leadership Springfield. Funding also has been provided by grants from the League of Women Voters’ Making Democracy Work fund, Community Foundation of the Ozarks and by individual donors.
The plan is to catch the eyes of persons who are not yet registered to vote, and provide motivation to get that done. The bus wraps are a good reminder to all of us to Get Our the Vote on Nov.5.
