Notaries offer free services to voters

July 23, 2020–Notaries wanted for absentee and mail-in ballots

The new law allowing expanded vote by mail options for Missouri voters in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic means many voters may choose to cast a ballot by mail that requires a notary seal. (See story, below.)

Are you a notary? Would you be interested in helping voters who will need this service?

Those who wish to become notaries and many others who are already notaries may want to plug into organized efforts to notarize ballots for the August and November elections. The Missouri Voter Protection Coalition is creating a hub for this information.

Please complete this short questionnaire to get connected with the Notary Hub of the Missouri Voter Protection Coalition.

The Missouri Secretary of State’s office is also compiling a list of notaries who have volunteered to assist Missouri voters in getting their mail-in or absentee ballot envelopes notarized at no charge. View the notary list here. The list will be updated as additional notaries are added. If you are a notary and want to add your name, contact the Secretary of State’s office: (573) 751-2301 or elections@sos.mo.gov
