A popular networking event is back! This time, Meet the Electeds will feature government leaders serving Springfield and Greene County.
Mayor Ken McClure will join Springfield City Council members and Greene County commissioners in a Zoom event Friday, Aug. 27 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Only members of the League and its partners Leadership Springfield Alumni and Junior League of Springfield may attend.
Using Zoom’s breakout group function, council and commission members will move in a timed rotation from one small group to the next. They’ll share their goals, but the focus will be on attendees’ questions.
This is the fourth time the League and its partners have sponsored Meet the Electeds. Past attendees, both elected and not, have given the program high marks for learning from the perspective of those elected to serve and for finding out what’s happening in our region.
