Candidate interview links for Aug. 2 election

Before the Aug. 2 primary election, voters can view interviews with candidates in four important races for U.S. Congress District 7 and Missouri Senate and House.

The brief videos are available on demand on YouTube and on ksmu.org, website of KSMU Ozarks Public Radio and websites of other partners in a coalition of nonpartisan organizations. The groups organized and hosted the interviews with the shared goal of informing voters.

U.S. Representative, District 7

Republicans: Audrey Richards, Camile Lombardi-Olive, Sam Alexander, Alex Bryant, Paul Walker, Mike Moon (Jay Wasson and Eric Burlison were invited but did not respond to repeated requests.)

Democrats: John Woodman, Kristen Badaker-Sheafer, Bryce Lockwood

State Senate

District 20 – Republicans Curtis Trent, Brian Gelner (No Democrat candidate)

District 30 – Republicans Angela Romine, Lincoln Hough (Democrat Raymond Lampert is unopposed.)

State House of Representatives

District 137 – Republicans Tom Barr, Darrin Chappel (No Democrat candidate)
